This class will open your eyes to a creative way to painting.  First off, we will be using the Dr. Ph. Martin’s Hydrus Watercolors.  The paints are ideal for letting the colors mix on the paper.  There is no mixing, just painting.  The water, the paper, and the paint do all of the heavy lifting.  Second, we will use different forms of putting paint on the paper.  For example, unique techniques include a basting brush, plastic wrap, wax paper, and a plastic card.

Each day of the class is a new painting.  Fall is the perfect time to paint the changing seasons, with lots of brilliant color.

One more added benefit to the class is that bringing your supplies is easy because the paint and the paper are supplied for you.  You can try it and then buy it.

Art Makers Denver is a wonderful grouping of artists making art at the same time. During the four-day workshop, we will paint Journals and learn how to make them. This is a two-day workshop. The Third day is spent painting the Palm Springs Mountains. The Fourth day is spent painting without drawing a perfect way to learn how to paint without boundaries. Each day, we will explore a unique technique of painting with Dr. Ph. Martins’s Hydrus Watercolors. Having Fun with Liquid Watercolors

Dillman's brings nationally known professional art instructors to our all in one resort environment.  This escape is located in the great north woods of Wisconsin.

The class explores using the liquid paints, which gives more vibrancy to your paintings and simplifies the artist’s palette, making watercolor painting more efficient and more fun.  Janet has a unique way of teaching in which adults learn best.  In Janet’s classes, everyone paints and the sessions are based on a shortened demonstration time and a longer hands-on painting time allows for the participant to really learn.

We will try a variety of techniques – some traditional and some not – to apply the paint and make it work for you.  We will use a variety of brushes, but we will also use straws, plastic wrap, tissue, masking, misting water, and basting brushes.  When was the last time you created foliage in a landscape with a basting brush?

These classes are for every level of watercolor painter.  It is a great experience for those just learning the process for those with more experience who have been painting for a while and want to wake up their paintings or learn new techniques.

This canyon country is rich with beautiful red canyons, breathtaking views, and prairies that seem so large. Cattle and horses are in most of the scenes near the ranch. The location is in southeastern Colorado, south, and west of La Junta, CO. The cost is $500 per person and includes lodging, meals, and painting instruction. The group is small and the workshop fills up fast!

This is a great time of year to learn to paint outside. Enjoy the outdoors while painting. In this class participants will learn to sketch and then make a painting outdoors. This is a fun way to enjoy a watercolor class. First you may choose to take both days or just one of the days. Second the painting surface is a small book you will learn to make and then paint. These books are a way to show off your watercolor paintings in a small form. We will paint some various scenes using interesting techniques. We might use the Basting Brush, wax paper, plastic wrap and more to make a painting. Each of the classes will make different paintings. A $5.00 materials fee will cover your supplies for the class.
