Upcoming Events and Classes for Janet Nunn Watercolors
Janet Nunn Watercolor Classes for Spring and Summer 2010 Foothills Art Center Tuesdays: April 6,13,20,27, and May 4 and 11, 5:30 pm to 8:30. Painting with watercolors is an easy task when you understand many of the techniques used. This class is a great chance to refresh your understanding of painting with watercolors, or wanting to experiment with new painting techniques. The class is perfect for watercolorists of all abilities from beginner to advance. Learn new techniques, including tips on blending and building color, using masking elements and so much more. Enjoy painting a new lesson each week. Subject materials include landscapes, trees, floras and more. Painting Flowers with Watercolors | Saturday: June 12 10am to 4 pm Participants will learn how to paint flowers using watercolors. The painting techniques used will be negative space painting, layering of washes, and some detail work. This is a great time to paint the flora because of all that is in color. Painting Outdoors a 3 week course Tuesdays June 8,15,22 1pm to 4 pm The class held in 3 different weeks would capture painting the landscape of Golden. Summer painting outdoors is a must for every watercolorist. Gain some fun techniques for capturing the moment in the summer. Learn how to capture these bright blossoms with watercolors. During the workshop define and shape flowers in two lessons. Janet uses a simplified method to capture the brightness of flowers. All levels are welcome to the class. Painting outdoors with Watercolors | Monday, June 14, 9am to 3 pm Participants in the class will learn a few techniques to make painting outdoors enjoyable. Simplifying the subject matter, sketching, and painting to capture the moment are just a few things covered. Come ready to paint outside for the day. If there is rain we will be indoors at the Arvada Center. Painting Flowers with Watercolors | Monday July 19, 9 am to 3 pm Participants will learn how to paint flowers using watercolors. Painting Fall Trees in Watercolors | Monday August 16, 9am to 3 pm Spend the day painting the fall colors of Colorado. Participants will learn to add colorful trees to a landscape and develop the techniques to bring the trees to life as part of painting the majestic Colorado landscape. Center for the Arts Evergreen Painting Vibrant Flowers with watercolors | Saturday March 20, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, Painting Flowers. Spend the day painting flowers in watercolors. Spring brings so many bright colors to the garden and in this class you can learn some fun techniques to create these bright blossoms. Painting outdoors with Watercolors | Friday, June 11, 9 am to 3 pm Participants in the class will learn a few techniques to make painting outdoors enjoyable.
